This Intensive Obedience Bootcamp is designed to transform your dog into a well-behaved companion. Through our structured, four-week program, your dog will learn essential obedience skills, including leash manners, basic commands (sit, down, stay, recall), and crate training. By the end of the bootcamp, your dog will be certified in obedience and ready to be a valued member of your family.
We will focus on establishing foundational leash manners and introducing the concept of marking desired behaviors. Your dog will learn to walk calmly on a leash, respond to basic cues, and understand the meaning of a marker signal. This week sets the stage for more complex training in the weeks to come.
In week two, we'll build upon the foundation established in week one by focusing on two essential commands: sit and down. Your dog will learn to reliably perform these cues on command, both with and without distractions. This week's training will further strengthen your bond with your dog and improve their overall obedience.
Your dog will learn to remain in a stationary position for increasing durations and to come to you immediately when called, even in distracting environments. These skills are essential for maintaining control and ensuring your dog's safety.
In the final week of our intensive bootcamp, we'll focus on two important skills: place and crate training. Your dog will learn to go to a designated "place" and stay there calmly, as well as relax comfortably in a crate. These skills are essential for managing your dog's behavior and creating a peaceful home environment.
Upon successful completion your dog will receive an official K9 Delta Academy Obedience Certification. To celebrate this achievement, we'll host a graduation ceremony where you and your dog can showcase your new skills and bond with other dog owners.
